Where to recycle household hazardous items!
Many common household items can be harmful to the environment
if simply thrown away into a landfill. Batteries, oil, oil filters,
chemicals, paints, electronics and much more. They all contain
chemicals, lead and other ingredients that are harmful to the
ground water we all drink. There are many ways to safely remove
and recycle these items. For example, the Pollution Control
and Financing Authority of Warren County sponsors a household
hazardous waste collection twice a year at the Warren County
garage located off Rt. 519 in Belvidere. It's FREE! for residents.
